Sao Paolo – A new digital crowdsourcing platform promoted in Brazil by Enel Group business Ampla will aid the realization of sustainable home project NO.VA (Nós Vivemos or Amanhã – We are living tomorrow) and encompass urban mobility plans, cleaner fuel, green architecture and design, collaborative economies and healthy lifestyles. The interactive portal will allow its members to share ideas on how to build a sustainable and environmentally friendly home that is equipped with a range of innovative technologies. The platform, which was launched recently and will be active until the end of June, is a development of the Facebook page Nós Vivemos or Amanhã, which has attracted 35,000 people in just three months and has evolved into a large community of people interested in contributing ideas that help improve quality of life and save the planet. The initiative will receive an investment of R$5 million (about $2 million US) from the National Electricity Agency’s research and development program, and it will be carried out in collaboration with the municipality of Niterói, the Getulio Vargas Foundation (FGV) and the Pontifical Catholic University (PUC-Rio). A committee composed of representatives from Ampla, universities, crowdsourcing experts and members of the Arthur Casas architecture firm will select the best ideas to build the house. (9colonne)
