Dec. 16 – Those in Bratislava have a few days left to visit the photo exhibition dedicated to the late Gabriele Basilico. Born and raised in Milan, he first approached photography after studying architecture. His training greatly influenced his way of interpreting images, often dedicated to industrial landscape and urban areas. The artist, who passed away last year at the age of 68, now relives thanks to an exhibition in Bratislava that focuses on his research, which reaches far beyond the realm of mere image documentary, as a point of reference for those deal today with photography and urban planning. The exhibition, curated by Walter Guadagnini, will remain open until 11 January at the Galleria Civica of Palffy Palace (Panská 19). The photographic exhibition was organized by The Central European House of Photography and the Italian Cultural Institute in Bratislava.
