Brussels – Valeria Liverini, a Province Official seconded to the European Parliament as a national expert, was appointed today head of the Office for Relations with the European Union. The decision came from the Government of the Autonomous Province of Trento, following the proposal of President Ugo Rossi. Her tasks include the crucial one of reviving the role of the EU in increasing the region’s ability to regularly interact with the most relevant European bodies, including the Committee of the Regions, the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the European Council. The goal is to acquire new resources, as well as structural funds. The Office will therefore have a key role in fostering growth for the Trentino territorial system within Europe. (9Colonne)
