New York – Giuseppe Iannaccone of the Department of Engineering at the University of Pisa was named a Fellow of the Institute of Electronic and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), starting January 1. The professor received this honor for his contributions to the development of conduction processes and noise in nanoelectronic devices models. “Understanding how semiconductor devices operate at the nanoscale level – explained Iannaccone – allows us to continuously advance information and communication technologies (ICT).” The title of Fellow, conferred by the Governing Council, is the highest level that a partner can achieve within the IEEE and is recognized by the scientific community as a prestigious honor and an important career goal.
