Zouk Mosbeh – On February 13, the Shulùq Ensemble (Calogero Giallanza, flute, Salim Dada, guitar, vocals, and Andrea Piccioni, percussions) will perform live in the Amphitheatre of Notre Dame of Louaize University in Zouk Mosbeh, Lebanon. The musical evening brings lyrics and notes inspired by the poems of Ibn Hamdis, Arab-Sicilian melancholic poet of the 11th century who, having left Sicily after the Norman Conquest, sang of Sicily as a lost paradise, with the confused and vague awareness that in the movement from the Greek world to the Arab one, Sicily had summarized its most authentic spirituality.
