Herat – The Italian Train Advise Assist Command West (TAAC W) military, in recent days, delivered a mammograph to the Maternity Hospital in Herat. The apparatus, which allows to detect breast lesions, was donated by the “Veronesi Foundation” with the financial contribution of the Banca Nazionale del Lavoro. It was transported by the Air Force aircraft that connects Afghanistan and Italy. The activity is part of the initiatives in support of the Afghan civilian population carried out by TAAC W in Herat, under the Italian command of the “Garibaldi” Brigade and of Brigadier General Maurizio Angelo Scardino.
