Kathmandu – From tomorrow until Saturday, Pierpaolo Leonardi, national executive for USB, and Cinzia Della Porta, of the International USB board, will be in Kathmandu, Nepal, to attend the World Congress of Trade Unions of Public Service Employees. Attended by trade unionists from all continents, representing the more than 3.5 million members, the central themes of the congress is the fight against privatization and the defense of the working conditions in the public service. During the congress, the new World Union leadership team will be selected; it is currently under the presidency of the Brazilian Sebastiao Soares, and led by secretary general, South African Lulamile Sotaka.
