Shanghai – The Shanghai exhibition “Splendor of Venice”, which will close on March 6, leaves only a couple of weeks to the Chinese public to visit it. The exhibition’s main objective is to enhance the image, history, traditions and heritage of the Serenissima. Held at the Museum of Ningbo, it displays works from collections of the Civic Museums Foundation of Venice: it’s composed of a hundred paintings, glasses, ceramics, textiles, and bronzes – including the famous doge “horn” that belonged to Doge Morosini. The extraordinary works come from Correr Museum, Ca ‘Rezzonico – Museum of Eighteenth Century, the Venetian Glass Museum, Palazzo Mocenigo – Study Centre for the History of Textiles and Costumes, and Casa di Carlo Goldoni.
