Milan – An award to small and mid cap Italian companies who chose the UK for their international expansion. In recent days, Milan hosted the award ceremony of the UK-Italy Business Awards, handed out by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI, the British government agency for the internationalization of enterprises and foreign investments) and the British Consulate General in Milan to those Italian businesses that landed across the Channel to do business. The list of winners features many listed small companies: four of the 11 awards went to Dada (which in 2014 brought its IT platform to the UK), Kinexia (who decided to invest £50 million in a new British holding), Piquadro (which opened its first store in London), and Digital Bros (which has taken control of the British Dr Studios).
