Haifa – As part of its “Rediscover Neorealism cinema” series, the Italian Cultural Institute of Haifa will screen tonight at 7pm the second part of the Carlo Lizzani documentary on “Neorealism 1943-1954,” a three-part documentary directed by Peter Tartagni and produced by Istituto Luce. It’s the story and memory of ten years of Neorealism, which began with the film “Ossessione” by Luchino Visconti (1943), and were experienced first by the director of “Achtung! Banditi! “(1951). Carlo Lizzani passed away on October 5, 2013 at 91. The documentary explains the origins of this artistic movement, but investigate the vision of the world it brought to life thanks to a camera, redrawing the relationship between the movie and the viewer.
