Toronto – Democratic Party representative Francesca La Marca was in Toronto for the second round of meetings with the communities set up by Ambassador Cornado and the Consuls of the different constituencies. The meetings sought to support the participation of Italian voters in the elections for the renewal of Comites, scheduled for April 17. The meetings want to increase the number of entries in the lists, a condition laid down by the new regulations to exercise voting. La Marca recalled the President Mattarella’s call to be a living force of the large Italian community, inside and outside national borders, to bring back hope to Italy. “I am sure that the young, well-integrated, proud of its identity, and multicultural Italian community in Canada will respond with generosity and conviction to the appeal, making its contribution to Italy’s recovery and continuing to take part in Canada’s development, of which they are a vital component. ” (9Colonne)
