Jerusalem – The Italian Consul General in Jerusalem, David La Cecilia, and the Finance Minister of the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), Shukri Bishara, met on March 5 in Ramallah to sign a memorandum of understanding. The agreement governs the provision of remaining aid, €17.3 million euro, in support of the “Electricity Utility Management Program” (Eump). This is a multi-donor initiative promoted by the World Bank and the European Investment Bank that aims to increase the efficiency level of the electricity distribution network in the West Bank, through maintenance on existing lines and the construction of six new distribution stations.
