Mar. 16 – Puglia’s music is increasingly international and this time it flies across the ocean, to the US, where starting tomorrow, and until March 22, it will be at SXSW, in Austin. The region’s promotional music program will feature in the Music Gear Expo – the music section of the fair that is also involved in film and innovation – in the Italy @ SXSW stand. Set up with the Italian Music Industry Federation (FIMI) and the Italian Trade Agency, Italy @ SXSW is a space dedicated to promoting Italy’s music industry within the Texan event. Puglia’s Populous and Fabryka will perform in the official SXSW showcase, respectively on March 18 and 20. On Wednesday, March 18, Number 28 hosts an Italian Aperitif, an event promoted by the Italian Trade Agency and IFPI in collaboration with Puglia Sounds addressed to the representatives of the world music industry in Austin for the occasion. SXSW has scheduled performance of Donpasta, with Food Sound System, and live and DJ sets by Populous and Fabryka. (Red)
