Buenos Aires – The 17th edition of the Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente of Buenos Aires is scheduled for April 15-26. This year, the Festival will be celebrating the centenary of Mario Monicelli’s birth, and for the occasion, it offers, in collaboration with Cinecittà Luce, a review of Monicelli’s classics. In addition, the Museo de la Recoleta will host a photo and installations exhibition curated by artist Chiara Rapaccini. The Festival will also host debates, conferences, video projections and meetings with local filmmakers in various locations of the Argentine capital, to discuss and reflect on the impact Monicelli’s work has had on cinema.
