Naqoura – In recent days, Philip VI, King of Spain, visited the UNIFIL mission. To welcome him at the Spanish base of Marjayoun, General Luciano Portolano, head of the UN Mission and Commander of the UN force in south Lebanon, the Spanish General Commander of the eastern sector of UNIFIL and Samir Moqbel, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister of Lebanon. During the meeting, General Portolano illustrated the ongoing work related to the 1701 Mandate of Resolution of the Security Council of the United Nations, providing a general update of the complex operational framework.
