Baku – Tomorrow marks the beginning of a two-day mission by the Minister of Economic Development Federica Guidi in Baku, Azerbaijan. During the visit, she will attend the signing of an industrial agreement between Maire Tecnimont and Soca, in the presence of the Minister of the Economy and Industry of Azerbaijan, Shahin Mustafayev. The agreement is for the construction of a petrochemical plant in Sumghait worth about €350 million. The strengthening of bilateral economic relations between the two countries, in line with the strategic partnership announced in Rome last year by Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and President Ilham Aliyev, will be the focus of the meetings in Baku between Minister Guidi and leading representatives of the Azerbaijani government.
