Apr. 22 – “Aggiungi un posto a tavola” is the famous musical comedy authored between 1973 and 1974 by playwrights Garinei and Giovannini, in collaboration with Armando Trovajoli. “Aggiungi un posto a tavola” is now the title of a conference scheduled at the Italian Institute of Culture in Moscow (M. Kozlovsky per., 4). The event – scheduled for tonight at 7pm – is promoted by the Institute and stars Manuela Incletolli, lecturer with extra-academic appointments at the University of Moscow MV Lomonosov. The film, an appeal to kindness and generosity, affirms that there is no greater pleasure than getting together with friends and family around the dinner table. So this scenario can only improve if the table is filled with traditional products. This and much more will be discussed during the conference, which offers a verbal and visual tasting of the main Italian dishes and products. Inclelotti will reference the celebratory occasions and sociological meanings of food. The lecturer has already held in the last months seminars at the Italian Cultural Institute in Moscow. In February, for example, she spoke of “The Italian carnival,” followed by the appointment “Art and the Italian Renaissance” and on March 11 the seminar entitled “In the name of aperitif.” (Red)
