Nova Padua – Certain bonds are forever, especially those that were apparently broken by forced migration of the end the 19th century. After over a century since the great Italian wave of migration, the “Banda di Santa Cecilia”, a group of Venetian origin, will arrive directly from Brazil in perform in Trichiana and meet their fellow countrymen. The group, born in Nova Padua, Brazil, will be performing in a concert organized by the Bellunesi nel Mondo Association, the Famiglia Ex emigranti della Sinistra Piave, the Proloco of Trichiana, and the Polyphonic Choir of Trichiana, sponsored by the City of Trichiana. The event will be held on Saturday, May 2 at 8:30pm at the parish hall “San Felice”. The Belluno event wants to tell locals of the wonders Venetian migration to Brazil can express in music. (9Colonne)
