Tokyo – The Versace brand is making its return to the Japanese market, with the opening of a flagship store, “Versus Versace.” Inaugurated on April 25, the store is 305 square meters on two levels in the district of Aoyama (Tokyo), featuring both men and women’s collections. By the end of this year, Versace is also scheduled to open two more stores in the Ginza district of Tokyo, one for the brand Versace and the other for Versace Home. Versace had closed its last shop and had withdrawn from the Japanese market in 2009, planning its return since 2011, with the creation of the subsidiary “Versace Japan”. Currently, Versace products are sold at Hankyu Men’s Tokyo and Osaka, and at Daimaru Shinsaibashi in Osaka. Versus suspended its production license in 2012 and began direct planning and production.
