Kabul – “In Afghanistan, we have 750 Italians working on a training and support mission in favor of the Afghan forces. I can confirm that we will remain in the country until the end of the year, as required by international agreements,” confirms Paolo Gentiloni, Italian Foreign Affairs Minister, on the RAI-3 show Agora. “For a couple of months now, with the onset of the fighting, the situation has remained tense: Afghan forces suffer heavy losses, especially in the north of the country; in Kabul there are frequent attacks, the latest of which saw Alessandro Abati killed.” (9Colonne)
