Mogadishu – The Italian soldiers who provide support to the contingent in the European Union Training Mission in Somalia (EUTM Somalia) carried out a humanitarian mission on June 6. As part of the cooperation agreement with the African country, the contingent donated food supplies to deprived families in Mogadishu. The donation took place in two districts of the city, Hamar Jajab and Hodan, and involved the delivery of 200 bags, each containing 70 kg of food aid sufficient to meet the needs of a family of 5/7 members. The delivery was attended by the representatives of the two Districts, the City of Mogadishu and Colonel Bernardo Mencaraglia, Commander of IT NSE. The delivery is the first of a series of donations in favor of families living in Mogadishu. With the continued distribution of food supplies, also in other districts of the city, the action will reach a total of 400 families. (9Colonne)
