June 10 – St Petersburg, Moscow, Perm and Yekaterinburg: the Orchestra Sinfonica Nazionale della Rai is preparing for a major tour in Russia. Before the start of the 2015 – 2016season, the Orchestra performs at the Great Hall of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic (October 4), the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory (October 5), the Great Hall of Perm Philharmonic (October 6), and the Philharmonic Orchestra of Yekaterinburg Sverdlovsk (October 7). One of the evenings will be broadcast live on Rai5. The Italian director Marco Angius in St. Petersburg, Moscow and Perm will conduct the Orchestra in a rendition of the overture from Rossini’s Semiramide, the Concerto for Violin and Orchestra No. 2 by Paganini performed by Anna Tifu, the suite from the film La Strada by Nino Rota, and Cinq Etudes Tableaux by Rachmaninov orchestrated by Respighi. In the last meeting, in Yekaterinburg, within the Eurasia Festival, Marco Angius will also conduct Respighi’s Trittico Botticelliano, the Gregorian Concerto for violin and orchestra performed by Josef Spacek, Dead City Radio by Romitelli and Composition. 1 by Maderna.
