June 23, 2015 – The Bottegantica Gallery takes the stage at Masterpiece London 2015. The Milan gallery will be exhibiting at the London art, antiques and design show scheduled for June 25 – July 1 at the South Grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea. The standard-bearer of the Milanese gallery is Giovanni Boldini, one of the leading exponents of Italian and international painting, the one who was able to interpret the dreams of a world between the nineteenth and twentieth century. For the occasion, the Bottegantica stand no. B 28 will host a retrospective of the artist, with some of his most famous works, including two newly uncovered pieces. The exhibition will present a large number of portraits: the production that brings out the best line of sight and heart between Boldini and his contemporaries, such as Degas, Manet, Sargent and Helleu. The works of other imported Italian contemporary artists will also be on display: Giuseppe De Nittis and his refined La Grenouillère (1873): Emilio Longoni’s La Voce del ruscello (1904), a pointillist and symbolist masterpiece, which won the silver medal at the World Saint Louis Exhibition in 1904.
