New York – Luca Pinello, PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science, won the prestigious National Institute of Health Path to Independence Award in Human Genome Research (NHGRI). On average, only 3 grants are awarded per year in the field, which is particularly competitive. Luca Pinello proposed a very innovative research program in the field of computational epigenetics. This loan, dedicated to highly qualified and motivated young scientists, provides scientific training for two years of Post-Doc research and constitutes a privileged channel to become an Assistant Professor in the US university system. Pinello is affiliated with the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health / Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, Department of Biostatistics and Computational Biology. (9Colonne)
