7 July, 2015 – The Marche Region and Vietnam are closer than ever, especially when it comes to transport and export. Yesterday in Hanoi, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport hosted the first of five technical institutional meetings with the regional delegation of the Marche, for the presentation of a draft Customs corridor between the two countries. The goal is to enhance the infrastructure network of the Marche in the sign of intermodal freight transport. The meeting was preceded by the presentation of the project by the Italian ambassador to Hanoi, Cecilia Piccioni, who appreciated the initiative, aligned with the internationalization programs for companies promoted by the State. The project, promoted by the Marche Region, is coordinated by the integrated logistics hub of the regional Port, Freight and Airport, the Adria LP Logistics Platform of the Marche, part of the trans-European transport network – TEN T. “The regional government – explains the Marche Councilor for Internationalization, Manuela Bora – will promote projects like this, to allow the SME system to take advantage of a competitive logistical tool. Efficient infrastructure management is key to allow easier access to rapidly developing markets such as Vietnam. The new internationalization challenges for regional companies must be accompanied by integrated strategies that allow our companies to increase their competitiveness on international markets, with undoubted benefits in terms of employment.”(PO / red)
