Miami – Costa Crociere, ambassador of Italian style and excellence around the world for 67 years, and Alitalia, the main Italian airline, have signed a three-year agreement through which Costa cruisers departing from Italy will be able to buy Alitalia regular and charter flights to reach their boarding ports around the world. The agreement, presented in Expo Milano 2015, provides a total of about 100,000 Alitalia flight seats reserved to Costa Crociere customers in the 2015-2018 period. The agreement represents a moment of further growth in the Italian market formula “fly + cruise”, introduced by Costa Crociere in 1968. The Alitalia flights will link a total of 27 Italian airports to: the Caribbean and the United States, with airports in Pointe a Pitre (Guadeloupe) and Miami; the United Arab Emirates; Northern Europe with Rostock-Warnemunde, Amsterdam, Copenhagen and Stockholm; and Trieste for the one-week cruises in the eastern Mediterranean.
