Ishinomaki – Japan Ferrari has opened a book-lending services in 41 after-schools in Ishinomaki. The project was made possible by the collaboration with the World Library, a monthly book loan program that collects and provides picture books for children aged 6-12. The project wants to support the education of Japanese children by helping them, through books, get in touch with different realities. Essential were the donations of Ferrari clients collected at auctions and events organized by Ferrari Japan between 2011 and 2012. Over 200 children took part in the inauguration of the World Library Book Rental Service, held in two after-school facilities built with the funds raised by Ferrari in October 2012, after the devastating earthquake that hit Japan.
