New York – After the extraordinary success of the exhibition I Macchiaioli, on October 8 opens the exhibition “Light of Southern Italy” at the Italian Cultural Institute of New York. The exhibition, curated by Marco Bertoli, presents 34 works by artists from southern Italy, all masters of light and color in their landscapes, seascapes, genre scenes, and portraits of great beauty: Antonio Mancini’s realism, Francesco Lojacono and Gabriele Smargiassi’s landscapes en plein-air, and the painters of daily life Filippo Palizzi and Marco De Gregorio will all be featured.
