27 August, 2015 – In 2014, Lombardy’s commercial exchange with Zambia amounted to €150 million, on a national total of around €200 million. Imports alone are worth €141 million, but between 2013 and 2014 exports grew by 37%. These are the figures certified by the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and Istat data for 2014 and 2013. Among the first Lombard provinces for imports (mainly metals) in 2014, there are: Milan with €127 million, Brescia and Cremona with nearly €8 million and €6 million, respectively. The first provinces to export in 2014 are: Varese with €7 million and Milan with €5 million, primarily for transportation and machinery. Precisely for this reason, as part of the business initiatives proposed at Expo 2015, the Chamber of Commerce of Milan and Promos, the special agency for international activities, in collaboration with Expo 2015 – Italian Pavilion, organized for tomorrow a business forum dedicated to Zambia, on the occasion of the National Day of Zambia at Expo2015.
