Damascus – Italy has approved an emergency grant of €1 million to support food assistance to Syria. The contribution is part of the overall commitment in response to the Syrian crisis – amounting to €18 million – announced by Italy for 2015. The Italian funds will help support the WFP project “Emergency Food Assistance to People Affected by Unrest in Syria,” part of the United Nations “Syria Response Plan 2015”. (9colonne)
