September 17th, 2015 – An entire hall to celebrate Italian food and wine has been organized and curated by the Shanghai Vinitaly International Wine & Dine Festival, scheduled from tomorrow to September 20 in the Chinese metropolis. The event, in its first edition, aims to become the most important b2c event in China in reference to the wine & food sector. To date, 20.000 tickets have already been sold, and for Saturday and Sunday, tickets are sold out. Vinitaly International will be present in Shanghai with 17 exhibitors representing more than 150 labels. “China is a huge market and has enormous potential, but it is also complex and difficult – said Stefano Beltrame, Consul General of Italy in Shanghai – Those who want to succeed must take into account that they need to seriously commit in terms of investment and human resources. The Chinese market already welcomes wines from all over the world, and the real challenge is to highlight the Italian wine excellence in the mix. The Wine Pavilion at the Milan Expo, which brought together and forced into collaboration all Italian producers, dedicated great attention to the Chinese public. This experience is a perfect example of what can be done and what we must continue to do.” (Cle)
