Monte Carlo – During the recent International Congress of the World Organization for Specialized Studies on the diseases of the Esophagus (OESO), held in Monte Carlo in early September, Professor Carmelo Scarpignato was confirmed Secretary General of the organization. The OESO has as its members the world’s leading experts in diseases of the esophagus, characterized by its multi-disciplinary approach, involving both basic and clinical researchers in various disciplines: Clinical Pharmacology, Pathology, Gastroenterology and Digestive Endoscopy, Otorhinolaryngology, Digestive Surgery, Thoracic Surgery and Radiology. Carmelo Scarpignato is Professor of Clinical Pharmacology in the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Parma. (9Colonne)
