(October 6, 2015) After “Accattone” (the first film directed by Pasolini that can be considered the film version of his previous literary works) and “La rabbia” (the 1963 film written and directed together with Guareschi), this evening the much-discussed “Vangelo secondo Matteo” will be protagonist in Argentina, on the occasion of the tribute to Pier Paolo Pasolini, 40 years after his death. This year, the Consulate General of Italy in La Plata promotes, in fact, the Festival Internacional de Cine Independiente de La Plata (Festifreak) which houses an exhibition dedicated to one of the most renowned Italian directors, Pasolini. All films are screened in Italian with Spanish subtitles. The inauguration of the exhibition was held on October 3 at the Pasaje Dardo Rocha, at the presence of Consul General, Iacopo Foti. The exhibition will close its doors on October 11. In the coming days the public will have a chance to see “Il Decameron” (1971), “I racconti di Canterbury” (1972), “Il fiore delle Mille e una notte” (1974), “Salò o le 120 giornate di Sodoma” (1975) and “Teorema” (1968).
