(13 October 2015) Vivaldi and the ‘Venetians Interpreters’ will be among the great protagonist of the 24th edition of the Chamber Music Festival of Prague: Václav Hudeček and his guests. The Festival opens tonight with an Italian performance in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum. This is not the ‘Venetians Interpreters’’ first performance in Prague: three years ago, they had already performed in the festival. On this occasion the musicians will interpret primarily works by Antonio Vivaldi, offering once again to Hudeček a chance to enjoy his “Italian soul.” And this Italian spirit is what allowed the artist to be nominated for Knighthood of the Order of the Star of Italy, an honor that is granted to Italian citizens residing abroad or particularly meritorious foreigners in the promotion of friendship and cooperation relations between Italy and other countries. Regarding Hudeček, the Italian Ambassador Aldo Amati said: “This violin virtuoso of international fame, maestro Hudeček, is one of the world’s greatest interpreters of Paganini and Vivaldi music, and gave it new strength with his brilliant style and interpretation. He has collaborated often with Italian artists, conductors and violinists of prestige, and Václav Hudeček has long been a great propagator of Italian culture and its musical richness that is here much appreciated thanks to his masterful interpretations.” (Sis)
