October 19th, 2015 – Carmen Consoli is appreciated and loved Italy, as well as across Europe and America, as her many tours abroad and exceptional live shows demonstrate. It’s still memorable – for example – her February 2005concert in Ethiopia, when the singer and guitarist from Sicily was the only Italian artist to perform during the celebrations for the anniversary of Bob Marley’s death. And then there were was the Central Park headlining (2007), and the 3 historical sold out concerts in New York (in 2006) that earned her an extraordinary review from The New York Times: “The lyrics of her songs are imaginative and transcend various levels of communication. Whether singing about history, myth or personal affairs, Consoli is always extremely passionate. Her voice can be smoky and low, amused or angry.” And now Consoli, after a year of successes in Italy with her latest album “L’abitudine di tornare,” is preparing for a new international tour. The artist will bring her extraordinary rock in a tour across European capitals that starts on November 25 in Paris at La Bellevilloise – home of Paris’ musical scene; then Amsterdam on November 26; Brussels on 27 November, Madrid on December 4; and 5 December in Berlin.
