October 26th, 2015 – Today, Munich hosts the presentation and screening of the documentary film “Malaterra” by Neapolitan singer Gigi D’Alessio. The event will take place at the Künstlerhaus Millerzimmer, where Gigi D’Alessio will present the documentary, which recounts the journey of the Neapolitan singer in the “Terra dei Fuochi,” or those territories that were touched by the chemical waste dumping scandal. The film, which premiered during the 61st edition of the Taormina Film Fest 2015, was directed by Sergio Rubino and Ambrogio Crespi. “Malaterra” is a fresco of those territories and the people who inhabit them: the civil society and the police forces who helped stop the dumping. The soundtrack is by Gigi D’Alessio and contains a song, titled “Malaterra”, whose proceeds will be donated for the next seven years in favor of local initiatives. On October 14, Gigi D’Alessio kicked off from Lugano his World Tour and on October 16 he released his new album “Malaterra”. “Malaterra” is a song, an album, a tour and a documentary film. The aim of the singer is to focus our attention on the ongoing situation in the Terra dei Fuochi, and to become a promoter of Campania’s excellences. (Red)
