October 30th, 2015 – Carmen Contreras Colón, Cristine Varadi, Fabián Hernández and Susy Tabush are artists who created the paintings for the 2016 calendar of the Association of the Italian Dames in Guatemala. The paintings are on display at the headquarters of the Italian Institute of Culture of the city. The presentation of the calendar took place recently, and it seems clear that the real protagonists of the project are birds. “The Association of Italian Dames in Guatemala has presented the 2016 edition of its calendar, dedicated to native birds. The collaborating artists – claims the website of the Italian Institute of Culture – have exhibited a selection of their works.” The Association of Italian Dames promotes in the Guatemalan capital events such as book presentations, concerts, plays, exhibitions and markets for charitable purposes.
