Tehran – Participating in the Giffoni Experience (GE) as a young jury member is a great achievement, but it’s even bigger to be the one chosen among the 3500 jurors in the Generator +13 section, to represent Italy at the 29th edition of the International Festival of Iranian Films for Young Adults. The event, which took place in Tehran September 23-30, aims to promote the best films for the young viewers, host filmmakers, and promote film production. The event includes sections dedicated to Iranian and international cinema, scripts and special screenings. Eleven Golden Butterfly awards were presented to the winners of the international section. In the Iranian cinema section, 19 Golden Butterfly and one Silver Butterfly award were delivered. “Two jurors from Basilicata were chosen for this adventure: 13-year-olds Manuel Ambrogio Bastiano from the Pisticci Secondary School, and Gilda Marsicano from the Semeria Secondary School in Matera. Thw two were able to crown this wonderful dream thanks to the project “Vivere il cinema tra sogno e realtà” of the cinema theater “N. Andrisani” by Nunzio Nicola Disabato with the GE organization. The Giffoni Experience for years has capitalized on its international experience by participating in events around the world,” reads a press release by the Cinema Andrisani. (9Colonne)
