November 13th, 2015 – Creativity, taste and made in Italy “at the service” of German history and its traditions. The ice cream parlor “Venezia” of Hildesheim, a town in Lower Saxony, hosted a particular event that was also attended by the Consul General Flavio Rodilosso and the President COMITES Hanover Giuseppe Scigliano. Salvatore Gigante, owner of the ice cream parlor, presented on the occasion of the 1,200-year celebrations of the city, the ice cream “roses cup”: a tasty and “fascinating” ice cream (with scented and edible roses). Roses cup is an original and distinctive tribute that the Italian entrepreneur has dedicated to the City of Roses and its history. The city hosts, in fact, a millennial rose garden guarding the world’s oldest rose plant, believed to be 1000 years old. The plant continues to flourish on the wall of the Cathedral of Hildesheim. According to legend, roses symbolize prosperity, good fortune, the growth of the city of Hildesheim, and until the roses will bloom the city will continue to thrive. The event saw the participation of MEC 3 Head Patrizio De Fina and his colleague Corrado Latina, the president of Dombauverein hohe Domkirche Hildesheim eV Dr. Konrad Deudel and the CEO Dr.Ralf Tappe, and the city Consular Correspondent Enzo Iacovozzi.
