Vilnius – A young, dynamic and growing country, in the European top ten for technological innovation… Lithuania has the fastest Internet network in Europe and 7th in the world, and is also a leader in IT services. EU member country for over a decade, Lithuania is experiencing a period of strong growth, with annual GDP growth of 3.3% (against 0.1% of the EU average), €60 billion in foreign direct investment and an infrastructure and transportation plan that will connect the country directly (via railroad) to Veneto and China. Veronafiere took part in the mission organized by the Chamber of Commerce of Verona in Vilnius, November 19-21, attending numerous meetings B2B and B2C with representatives of the government, the economy and the Lithuanian business system. The mission featured Veronafiere, the Chamber of Commerce of Verona, the Arena di Verona and Verona Catullo Airport. The Italian Ambassador in Vilnius, Stefano Taliani de Marchio also took the time to introduce the Italian delegation. “Lithuania is now a hub of extraordinary potential for Italian companies wishing to work in Eastern Europe and Asia, with particular reference to China – said Maurizio Danese, President of VeronaFiere – We are here today also to strengthen the representation agreement signed with the Italo-Lithuanian Chamber of Commerce.” (9Colonne)
