Kotka – Filippo Cosentino will tour as a special guest with the Karri Luhtala Trio in Finland: on November 25 at Kairo, in Kotka; on November 27 at Vihreä Talo, on November 28 at Hostelli Palopuro, and on December 2 at Hotelli Presidentti. L’Astronauta (Emme Record Label / IRD) is the third studio album by the young musician from Piedmont, recorded with an exceptional team: Jesper Bodilsen on bass, Andrea Marcelli on drums, Antonio Zambrini on piano and Filippo Cosentino on acoustic and classical guitar. The album brings out the melodic invention of the artist and his ability to create experimental, meditative spaces and original harmonic / rhythmic paths. The record features nine tracks which flow into each other in a harmonious way while exploring different kinds of jazz matrixes. Filippo Cosentino in January 2015 was included in Top Jazz, the historic referendum of the magazine Musica Jazz, in the section for Best New Talent. (9Colonne)
