November 26th, 2015 – After closing production in Italy last August, director Cristiano Bortone has begun shooting the first scenes of his new film “Caffè” on Chinese soil. The film is the first official co-production between Italy and China, made possible thanks to the recent treaty signed between the institutions of the two countries. After China, production will continue in Belgium starting next January. Filming will take place entirely in the spectacular tropical province of Yunnan, bordering with Laos, a region historically known for its evergreen tea fields but also for its emerging coffee production. And coffee is the common element that links together the three destinies that intertwine in the film: Italy, Belgium and faraway China. (Red)
