November 27th, 2016 – Southern Italy is capable of doing business and to successfully export its products abroad, even across the distant borders of sub-Saharan Africa. This is the case of Avantgarde, a company based in Giovinazzo near Bari, for which Sace ensured €950.000 for the supply to Mozambique of a tamping railway machine. The equipment will be used for the renewal of the railway corridor in Nacala, in the northern coast of the country, that will connect the country to Malawi. This corridor is destined to become one of the main interchanges in sub-Saharan Africa, with the construction of an airport. “Sace has represented over the years a valuable partner, one that offers financial solutions to its customers at competitive prices, effectively eliminating credit risk,” said Vincenzo Dagostino, managing director of Avantgarde. “We are very pleased to announce this transaction, as it marks an important step in the development of our company, and we thank SACE for the trust they placed in Avantgarde and its plans for international development. SACE and Avantgarde were able to collaborate and dialogue to find concrete solutions for our foreign customer, Somague Engenharia SA. We managed to create synergies in the belief that solid business realities are able to successfully face turbulent times like the one that just passed.” (Sis)
