December 1st, 2015 – Graphics, film, environment, architecture, photography… This is kinetic art for the MID Group, created by Antonio Barzini, Alfonso Grassi, Gianfranco Laminarca and Alberto Marangoni in 1964 in Milan. Expanding its research beyond disciplinary boundaries, the MID Group visually and mentally stimulated the viewer, inviting him to dive into a global experience. Change, image and size “relive” today at the Italian Cultural Institute of Lisbon, thanks to an exhibition, “The shape of light”, curated by Stefania Gaudiosi. Opening December 2nd at 7pm, the inauguration ceremony welcomes Antonio Barzini, one of the founders of the movement, active between 1964 and 1972. Stefania Gaudiosi will present the Italian movement, while curator João Silvério will analyze the state of kinetic art in Portugal. The exhibition “The shape of light” is the first in a series of shows dedicated to Italian contemporary art. (Sip)
