December 21st, 2015 – Geopolitics, human rights, institutional and inter-cultural diplomacy: these are the key foreign policy challenges in which ten young Sudanese diplomats will receive training. The ten diplomats will travel to Italy in February to follow a training program born from the agreement signed recently in Khartoum between the Sudanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian Embassy in Sudan, funded by the Directorate-General for Globalization and organized in collaboration with the Società italiana per l’Organizzazione internazionale (SIOI) of Rome. “The training and sharing knowledge and skills, especially among young people, is a formidable tool of soft diplomacy – commented the Italian ambassador in Khartoum, Fabrizio Lobasso – Soft diplomacy wants to strengthen bilateral relations and create a positive image of the Italian system among the Sudanese population.” (Red)
