Oklahoma – Enel Green Power announced that its subsidiary Enel Green Power North America has signed two agreements with GE Energy Financial Services, a unit of General Electric, to cede 24% of its “Class A” holdings both in the Chisholm View Wind Project (owner of the 235 MW wind farm of Chisholm View in Oklahoma) and in Prairie Rose Wind (owner of the 200 MW wind farm of Prairie Rose in Minnesota). The total worth for the two transactions is approximately $74 million, to be paid upon completion of the agreement. As a result of these operations, the participation of EGP NA in the two companies is reduced to 51% (currently it holds 75% of total shares), while the participation of GE Energy Financial Services (held indirectly through Efs Chisholm and Efs Prairie Rose) will now amount to 49%. “This transaction strengthens the strategic partnership established last March between EGP and GE Energy Financial Services – clarified Francesco Venturini, CEO of Enel Green Power – At the same time, the sale is part of our active management strategy to support diversification and growth opportunities both in North America and elsewhere in the world.” (9Colonne)
