San Francisco The Moscone Center of San Francisco is currently hosting the 2016 edition of Winter Fancy Food, the largest trade fair dedicated to food specialties in the West Coast. The event represents a great opportunity for Italian companies: this year pasta, cheese, olive oil, meats and many other Italian products are featured under the same hallmark of “The Extraordinary Italian Taste” and will enjoy even more visibility thanks to the fact that Italy is a Partner Country of the initiative. Greater visibility and a credible reputation are two key ingredients in the current success of Italian food products in the United States, registering positive sales also in November 2015. According to the US Department of Commerce, US trade continues to grow at the global level (+ 14.4%), and with the EU in particular (21.3,%). Italian food exports rose by 22.6% in the first eleven months of 2015 – confirms Maurizio Forte, Director of the Italian Trade Agency Office in New York – The US is currently experiencing, thanks to the strong impulse given by the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, the most important promotion plan regarding the Italian food industry ever implemented by the Italian government. The plan sees the large scale participation of the ITA, in collaboration with Federalimentare, Cibus, Tuttofood and Vinitaly at the Fancy Food Shows. (9Colonne)
