Tehran – “With Iran, we’ve signed agreements worth €17 billion, launching a period of great economic potential. Which is why on February 8-9, I will stand alongside Ministers Delrio and Martina in a trade mission that sees the participation of more than 130 Italian companies,” said the Undersecretary for Foreign Affairs Mario Giro yesterday at the Italy-Iran Business Council. “We have we had such a great mutual ambition in the historical bilateral relations between the two countries. Italy is one of Iran’s historic partners, and we will play a leading role,” concluded Giro, who added:” Our country features a sector of excellence for all the priority areas identified in Tehran: hydrocarbons, infrastructure, mechanics and health machinery. The SACE agreement for the recovery of outstanding debt will also enable our exports and our banks to return to operations in Iran.” (9Colonne)
