(4 February 2016) Italian companies are making their way towards Sudan, participating in an important economic and trade mission organized by the Italian Embassy in Khartoum, in the wake of ongoing institutional efforts to multiply mutual business opportunities. The mission follows the Sudan Economic Forum held in July 2015 (in collaboration with Assafrica) and the recent visit to Rome of the Sudanese Agriculture Minister Ibrahim Adam Ahmed El-Dukheri. 14 Italian companies will be in the Sudanese capital February 8-12 February to identify new opportunities offered by the Sudanese market in terms of trade and more lasting industrial partnerships. The multi-sector mission will focus on energy and renewable energy, agriculture, food, hydroelectric and infrastructure. The companies will take part in meetings in Khartoum and in a visit to the state of Jazira (an area with strong agricultural propensity). During the four days of work, aside from the opportunities for B2B meetings, there will be meetings with the Chamber of Commerce of Sudan, the Sudanese Association of Large Entrepreneurs, the Foreign Ministry, the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Investment where Italian companies will have the opportunity to learn more of the concrete partnerships opportunities and priority investment programs of the Sudanese government.
