(19 February 2016) An impossible interview with Leonardo da Vinci to discover the true dimension of his genius. Massimiliano Finazzer Flory wears period costumes and brings on stage his most ambitious project yet: “Being Leonardo Da Vinci. The impossible interview.” The show lands in Brussels, at the Theatre of the Italian Cultural Institute, on February 23 at 7pm, inaugurating an international tour that will continue, after Belgium, towards Russia, Britain, France, Spain, Poland and Germany. The show is unique in its recital (in Renaissance Italian, with surtitles in French for the occasion) and its style: Finazzer Flory answers 67 questions and “physically” becomes Leonardo da Vinci in an extraordinary opportunity to represent Italy as a culture capable of combining research, invention and innovation with the beauty of art. Leonardo as interpreted by Finazzer Flory answers questions about his childhood, his activities in the civil and military spheres, on how one becomes a good painter, on the relationship between painting and science, painting and sculpture, painting and music.
